This is my FAV black vest I’ve ever owned – its from Lululemon and so soft, has a slightly longer length, and really deep pockets.

This is often a style tip that people are more hesitant to try – but I put it in here because it is a great option for making a button down more interesting than just doing a full tuck. And I think it can look pretty chic!
Tying the top really helps show off your natural waist. And adds a fun, casual vibe to the outfit.

One of my other favorite ways to style a flannel! Button downs like this worn open are a great lightweight layer option.
I offset the length of the flannel with a tucked in black long sleeve and a belt to still show off my natural waist.
This is an easy way to dress up your flannel for work. Wear black pants instead of jeans and you’ve got an easy business casual look.
You can play around with the length of the cardigan you use too – a cropped cardi, hip-length one, or duster like I’m wearing.
KEY STYLE TIP: cuff the button down back up over the cardigan. This really helps pull the look together!
