Hi!

my name is
katie bjorlin.

I'm a stylist, nanny, and figure skating coach. After graduating from college and working in the fashion retail industry for several years, 2020 was the year I took my passion for style and turned it into a business! I love DIY home projects and I’m equally comfortable operating a power saw or picking out the perfect pair of shoes. I'm extremely close with my family and they are frequently recipients of my solicited (or unsolicited) fashion advice.

Here are 8 different ways you can style an athletic dress in spring and summer! Just so you know, this blog post contains some affiliate links, from which I can earn a small commission at no cost to you.

I’m SO PUMPED that active dresses are so on trend this year! The athletic dress I’m wearing in the photos is from Target (brand: All in Motion) last year, so they no longer have it in stock. But I just got this athletic dress at Old Navy this spring, and it comes in a few colors. Here is a super popular tank style from Abercrombie this season, and this one-shoulder one is so cute!

1. With a chambray shirt.

Super casual and sporty, plus the top can easily be removed if it gets too warm!

I paired it with platform white sneakers from Target, but I also have these Steve Madden ones that I wear all the time!

2. With an oversized blazer.

I scored this fun red blazer at a thrift store in Florida for $6 !! Here are a few similar options: a red one from ASOS, a beige one from H&M, and a coral one from Target.

I got these braided heels from Target this spring, perfect to go with jeans or dresses, as a slightly more dressed up version of a regular sandal.

3. With a denim jacket.

This outfit is SO ME. Love any opportunity to wear fun wedges too!! If you’ve never heard me say it before…I think EVERY SINGLE PERSON needs to own 1 denim jacket (if not more!!) – such a versatile layer. Watch this reel I made if you don’t believe me!

4. With a tee knotted over.

I’ve already been wearing this outfit combo on repeat this spring! Knot a plain tee, tank, or graphic tee over your dress for a fun casual look. Add a baseball hat & sandals or sneakers and you’re out the door in no time!

5. With a cardigan.

Everyoneee owns a cardigan, so this is a super easy outfit formula to try this summer when its a slightly cooler day!

And if you haven’t seen my reel about the many ways you can wear black converse this spring/summer, you need to watch it here !!

6. With a white button up.

You could wear it tied loosely like I did, or open like a cardigan (like the chambray shirt outfit idea above).

The white top I’m wearing is from a few seasons ago at Target – but they come out with a new version of it every year. The one they have from A New Day this season can be found here!

7. With a fun structured jacket.

I used a black moto jacket for a sleek black on black look, but outfit formula would also work with a colored or patterned jacket.

Add sneakers or sandals or heels, depending on what you’re getting dressed for!

8. With a cropped sweatshirt.

This outfit formula is SO ME. Perfect for my life on-the-go as a nanny of 2 tiny humans!

This white cropped sweatshirt last year from Outdoor Voices, so its currently sold out..

Which outfit idea is your fav?!
