My client Suzy is a fashionista, with a big closet to match! But often times, a big closet means a big clean out, something that was a little overwhelming for her to attempt on her own. She scheduled an in-home session so that we could work on paring down her closet to include just the items she wears (and allow room for new items to come in as fashion trends change – duh!)

We went through her closet topic by topic (blouses, then jeans, then activewear, etc.). I took each item out one-by-one and we decided if it should go in the “keep” or “sell” pile. She had some items that were multiples (example: 3 white button up blouses that are all slightly different), so we talked through how to decide which to keep and which to sell.

After we did the clean out, I went through and organized her closet by color/sleeve length, so that every item has a quick & logical place to return to after it is worn/washed!

At the end of her session, I took the “sell” pile to list online through my Consignment service, where I list client’s clothing items for sale on Poshmark / Mercari / eBay. When her items sell, we’ll split the profits!
