I'm a stylist, nanny, and figure skating coach. After graduating from college and working in the fashion retail industry for several years, 2020 was the year I took my passion for style and turned it into a business! I love DIY home projects and I’m equally comfortable operating a power saw or picking out the perfect pair of shoes. I'm extremely close with my family and they are frequently recipients of my solicited (or unsolicited) fashion advice.
What a way to finish up my 25th year of life – a week packed with 4 closet clean outs & style sessions! What was so fun about them is how they were all so very DIFFERENT. That variability in each client’s pain points when it comes to clothes / their closet is what makes my job so FUN – each day is so different!
I first had a session with Beth, a gal I met through Instagram and am now in a Bible Study with. She had a lot of clothing items that were from college/10+ years old, and wanted some help deciding what needed to go and what could be incorporated into outfits that work for her life today. We ended up with an overflowing box of things to donate, and re-purposed the items she was keeping.
Next up was a recently retired mom who was looking for some help with putting together outfits that fit for her new lifestyle, and deciding what items no longer served a purpose for her in her closet. She already had a good sense of style & owned on-trend pieces, so we took those and talked through different styling techniques she could use to add that extra “excitement” to each outfit.
After that, I worked with my aunt, who was running out of space in her room because her closet & dresser were overflowing. The first day, we focused on doing a major CLEAN OUT. We filled 20 (!!) garbage bags of items she no longer needed (because they didn’t fit, weren’t comfortable, or weren’t needed anymore). Then I helped her organize her items in her closet & dresser (instead of in piles on the floor!). I came back the next day & we worked on putting together a bunch of different outfits that incorporated the pieces that we kept. I challenged her to use some pieces she hadn’t worn in a while, and gave some pointers on dressing in a flattering way for her body type!
My fourth client, Bekah, actually found me through an Instagram Reel video I had posted, how fun is that?! We did her session virtually. Her main session goal was finding ways to dress in a flattering way for her body type. We talked through different style tips for the items she already owned, that would take her outfits up a notch for her job as an elopement photographer.
After a packed week, I was WIPED. But I was so glad to help my clients find JOY in their closets & in getting dressed again – that the exhaustion didn’t even matter 🙂
Do you relate with any of these clients?! Head to my “Services” page to fill out a contact form and find out how I can help you too!
