I'm a stylist, nanny, and figure skating coach. After graduating from college and working in the fashion retail industry for several years, 2020 was the year I took my passion for style and turned it into a business! I love DIY home projects and I’m equally comfortable operating a power saw or picking out the perfect pair of shoes. I'm extremely close with my family and they are frequently recipients of my solicited (or unsolicited) fashion advice.
I know it can be super tempting to want to buy a new outfit for each event you attend (like a wedding, concert, or holiday). But if you’re like me, that just isn’t in the budget! Here are 4 ways you can change up your look to disguise the fact that you are outfit repeating.
I originally wore this dress to attend a wedding in November 2021. I styled it with knee high black boots, straight hair, and simple gold jewelry. I had another wedding this October and I wanted to figure out how I could rewear it because I love the dress and already knew that it works for my body type, the dressiness of the event, and the weather.
I added a moto jacket (a classic winter staple!) to majorly change up the look of my outfit. This is also a great option if the weather is cooler than the original time you wore the look.
Using a different purse or different jewelry is a quick & easy way to update your look.
You could wear your hair straight, curly, waved, or add a hair accessory like a headband, clip, or ribbon. Or, you could wear your hair up in a bun or ponytail.
I swapped out my knee high boots for tights & shorter booties. I could have also changed up the look with heels!
