Hi!

my name is
katie bjorlin.

I'm a stylist, nanny, and figure skating coach. After graduating from college and working in the fashion retail industry for several years, 2020 was the year I took my passion for style and turned it into a business! I love DIY home projects and I’m equally comfortable operating a power saw or picking out the perfect pair of shoes. I'm extremely close with my family and they are frequently recipients of my solicited (or unsolicited) fashion advice.

Thanksgiving is all about COZY BUT CUTE outfits, ya know? Hardly a real waistband in sight. Here are 10 ideas of what you can wear this Thanksgiving! FYI, there are some affiliate links in this blog post, meaning I will make a small amount of commission at no cost to you!

1. Cardigan + leggings.

I kept a black base underneath (fitted long sleeve & these Athleta black leggings). Tie waist cardigans are a great option for emphasizing a waistline in an oversized cardigan like this.

2. Cardigan + wide leg jeans.

When I wear pants that are a little bit of a wider/looser fit, I always opt for something a little more fitted/tailored on top. These jeans are the Wide High style from H&M.

3. Oversized sweater + leggings.

This is like the ULTIMATE “let me eat a huge meal and then lie on the couch and watch football and take a nap” outfit. Oversized sweater was a cast-off from my dad, and I added my Sorel Joan of Arctic wedges as a way to dress up the look a little fit – pricy, but are waterproof & so so cute. Often you can find these on online resell platforms like Poshmark!

4. Sweater vest + straight leg jeans.

Sweater vests are a fall style staple. What’s great about them is that you can wear them on their own when the weather is *just* starting to cool off, or add a fitted long sleeve like this when it gets even colder. I paired it with my comfiest straight leg jeans & black lug booties.

5. Shacket + graphic tee.

Now’s your time to wear your most cringy “thankful” or “grateful” tees 😉 Add a shacket like this one for some warmth & coziness. I paired them with my Spanx faux leather leggings and some black booties.

6. Comfy dress.

This is for you if you’re like “dang, I want to look super cute but still be comfy” — this long sleeve knit dress is from Old Navy and is so comfortable and flattering. I added sneakers for a casual vibe but booties could dress up the look! This one is from a few seasons ago, but here is a similar dress in cream, or a black one with a fun cutout!

7. Flowy pants + denim jacket.

This outfit formula is all about those elastic waistbands y’all. I paired the pants with a white bodysuit I just got at Old Navy that is SO flattering, and my fav denim jacket (cause if you’ve been around for awhile, you know I have a slight obsession with denim jackets – they’re the most versatile layer you can have in your closet!).

8. Flannel + joggers.

Flannels are a great piece to find at thrift stores – because you can so often find such cozy, worn in, oversized options. I paired them with soft black joggers, which feels like 1 step up from leggings!

9. Jumpsuit.

Helloooooo comfy. Jumpsuits are an easy one-and-done comfy piece to wear for the holidays, to easy find a balance between looking cute & put together but also super comfortable.

10. Sweater + flare leggings.

Ok, who else is glad flared leggings are a thing again??? They are so comfy and add a little flare to outfits that normal leggings don’t! I just got these ones at Athleta and they are SO comfy. Wearing flared leggings feels like one step closer to “real pants” than plain leggings.

Which outfit is your favorite?!
